For biotech investors

Know what you're buying.

A Series A diligence costs $50–200K and still misses the regulatory and quality risk — the place where value actually dies. Valar gives you a structured, cited diligence memo on every deal: readiness scores, red flags, vendor review, and an evidence trail. In days, not weeks.

The boundary is the product

Founder trust is what makes diligence possible. The company publishes a version-locked snapshot — deliberately, explicitly. That snapshot is everything you see, and everything you'll ever see.

You see

  • The published diligence package — nothing more
  • Readiness scores with blocking / required / conditional breakdown
  • A cited red-flag report from the White Council
  • Vendor dossiers: agreements, inspection history, qualification
  • Version history of the package itself

You never see

  • The company's workspace
  • Drafts, revisions, and internal deliberations
  • Team chat and comments
  • Anything not explicitly published
  • Access expires or revokes on the company's terms

How it works

One engine, both sides of the table.

1

The company publishes

From Istari — or from an uploaded data room — the company publishes a version-locked diligence package. Explicit, deliberate, audit-logged.

2

The White Council deliberates

Five specialist analysts read the package: regulatory pathway, quality and CMC, nonclinical, and ex-US. Every finding cited to its source.

3

You review the memo

Readiness scores, red flags, vendor review, evidence trace — in a read-only review workspace. Days, not weeks.

Our grading standard.
Valar judges a package only against what regulators have actually said — statutes, regulations, guidances, ICH guidelines. No tribal knowledge. No unwritten "industry standards" coloring the grade. If a finding can't be tied to a regulator's own words, we say so — or we don't make it.
Special statuses — orphan, RMAT, breakthrough, rare disease — are recognized and judged against the framework that applies to them, never against large-population norms.
Grading is phase-appropriate: a Phase 1 program is never held to BLA standards. Gaps are weighted by what the next milestone actually requires.

The White Council

Above the Istari stand the Valar — the Powers. Builders get counselors; investors judge. Every diligence memo is deliberated by five specialist analysts, each signing off on their domain, each finding attributed by name.

Olórin

Regulatory pathway & overall narrative

The wisest counselor. Reads the whole program and tells you the story the data actually supports.

Curumo

Quality systems, CMC & vendors

Master of craft. Interrogates the quality system, the CMC package, and every vendor dossier.

Aiwendil

Nonclinical & pharm-tox

Lore of living things. Checks whether the toxicology actually supports the clinical plan.

Alatar & Pallando

Ex-US & multi-region

The two who journeyed into the East. Map what changes across the EU, Japan, and China.

An honest note.
Valar surfaces information and structure — not investment or legal advice. Findings are generated from the published package and cited sources; investment judgment remains yours. If a memo surfaces the red flag that kills a deal, that's the product working.
